"In traditional Chinese medicine, glass cups are often applied to the surface of the body at particular accu-points, to relieve everything from pain to colds. As the air inside the heated glass cup cools, it contracts, creating suction which practitioners believe has therapeutic effects. This modern version of the features 10 plastic cups, a pump to suction the air out and 8 removable spring loaded accu-points centered in the cups. These simulate acupuncture, but without the needle or breaking the skin. The enclosed chart shows how to apply the cups for many ailments.
